The post covid financial crisis hit in England and then the Ukrainian war started and we couldn’t afford to rent anymore and the energy prices more than tripled. Was God really calling us to be missionaries here in England?
We in faith started to look around for a house to buy. How were we going to afford a mortgage?- we had no idea but God had a plan. We had a vision to start a mission base, to house missionaries so they could help with working in Glastonbury. So we looked around a big house. When the estate agent asked how we would pay for the house, in faith I said, “CASH”. Because realistically we would need a mammoth miracle and we couldn’t afford mortgage payments anyway.
We loved the 4 bedroom house and could see great potential in it and so we got our prayers praying. We wanted to put an offer in as soon as we could- but still didn’t have a realistic amount of money. Then we got a phone call. “How much money do you need.” We said, “£200 000.” The person said that they had this money and wanted to give it to us. GLORY TO GOD.
So we went from being almost homeless to owning our own house outright. We are using it to host people coming to help us and these people are greatly blessing the people in Glastonbury.
