About Kurdistan

To promote health in the Middle East through life-saving interventions for infants and young children
Our purpose is to promote health in the Middle East with a focus on life-saving interventions for infants and young children by working directly with and under the guidance of qualified healthcare providers, collecting, analyzing, and sharing information, raising awareness, building connections, funding projects, sourcing and directing the transportation of medical products, and sourcing and supporting access to medical care and training initiatives both locally and abroad.

Support Local Immediate Medical Care for Children
We work directly with healthcare providers and patients to broaden access to information, medical expertise, treatments, supplies, and medical care offered locally in the Middle East.

Services are offered to healthcare providers for the purpose of increasing patient access to evidence-based care offered locally. Initiatives supported by Iris Kurdistan include projects that build essential infrastructure and increase access to medical equipment and systems. Our goal is to ensure that access to medical exams, medication, equipment, and procedures are available to all children. We specifically target care for patients who face barriers such as language, religion, race, lack of transportation or lack of funds which play a role in prohibiting them from receiving quality care.

Support Access to Life-Saving Medical Care Abroad for Children
We work directly with healthcare providers, medical professionals, and patients for the purpose of creating opportunities for patients in the Middle East to travel abroad for life-saving care.

Iris Kurdistan offers patients and health care providers a unique set of services that create opportunities for patients to receive life-saving treatments abroad.Information and services provided are for the purpose of empowering patients and doctors with access to information and connection that would otherwise be considered out of reach. Support is currently being offered for travel to surgery centers in Canada and Israel. Other surgery centers are being explored in Iran and Italy.

We offer support for patients and their families in each step of the process, from filling out forms and submitting applications to acquiring the appropriate testing. All to qualify a patient for life-saving surgery. Often after a patient has been accepted into a program, we act as the point of contact for the family and for the foreign organization providing the service. This is done often to overcome a language barrier and keeps both parties informed about each step in the process before, during and after surgery.

Source and Support Access to Training for Medical Staff
We work directly with healthcare providers, medical staff, and specialists to deliver training opportunities for pediatric facilities in the Middle East.We are honored to serve the medical system in Iraqi Kurdistan by facilitating training opportunities. Training is a much-needed service that provides excellent value to care providers facing extenuating circumstances. We actively pursue partnerships and collaboration with individuals and foreign organizations who are accredited by their respective governments and have a proven track record. The resulting opportunities allow students to travel outside their region for training or medical professionals to come and provide training to hospital staff inside the region being served.
