Krakow outreach September 2024

Written by Fiona Jayamaran

After the Iris Europe Camp some of us joined the Krakow outreach staying at the Krakow base close to the city centre. We spent our mornings with worship and teaching followed by divine food better than any restaurant prepared by our long-term missionaries from Ethiopia. In the evenings we went out into the beautiful main square of Krakow to bring the gospel to everyone willing to listen. We truly went filled up (in more ways than one).

Dominika challenged those that had not previously given their testimony on the microphone in a foreign country to share. How you could ever prepare or make yourself ready for this? I stretched myself in obedience sharing a snip of my life, smashing boxes that I was once confined to. This was something that I wouldn’t have naturally gravitated to do without the little gentle but trusted push.

There were so many testimonies. Some standouts being Jewish people on holiday from Israel, stopping, listening, praying, and even reading Isaiah 53. Not one or two but many. Chosen ones. I do not know if they had radical hinge point moments in the square, but these were good seeds going into hearts that are now clenched open, especially as their people and land is now ravaged with war. Later on a big group of teenagers surrendered their lives to Jesus in a prayer holding hands together.

Other highlights were walking the streets (even with tired feet) late at night post outreach after our night stop at the gelateria for incredible ice cream. There was a girl, consumed in yoga, who we had a word of knowledge for. When we prayed for her, she asked what kind of energy we had, as she felt so good. When her boyfriend arrived, she recommended that he allow us to pray for him. Hearts you would otherwise think of as out of reach were easy to reach. It was fun, wonderful and the real deal. Thank You Jesus!
