Introducing the True Light soccer team!
Our amazing outreach team has been working with youth and young adult boys for a few years. One way that they reach these at-risk boys is through a weekly soccer program. It's been a dream to have jerseys and soccer kits for our boys for a long time.
In March, our youth boys saw their new soccer jerseys for the first time and they were beyond excited. They are very determined now to practice hard so they can soon play other local teams.
Many of the youth are getting older and our regular kids' club program that they once attended as kids, does not spark their interest anymore but playing soccer and learning how to become a better player is the perfect way to connect with them. During the soccer program they learn new drills, play a scrimmage, and also have a devotional time of worship and prayer together.
We are very excited for how the Lord will use this time with these boys to grow them not just by skill and physicality but also spiritually and mentally. Please pray with us for protection over these youth and for God to move powerfully in their hearts and lives.
