We just finished our 3-week training. What a precious time! We graduated 54 students and this time was a very different group: most of them were already in ministry and wanted to go deeper in the Word, learn how to share the Gospel and to be more effective.
But we always have new believers. It is amazing to see them encountering God for the first time and discovering everything as children. We laughed when one of the boys told that, while we were praying for the Holy Spirit, he felt so hot that he literally wanted to take off his clothes! Having never experienced it before, he thought he was having a medical condition, but his sister explained him about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. You could see his facial expression changing day by day – he seemed extremely closed on day one, but the last few days he had a big and easy smile all the time. He told his sister that he felt much loved here, was touched by the humbleness and kindness of the believers, and wanted to know when the next training is.
Another lady who joined was previously a strong h*ndu and used to hate believers. A couple of weeks before the training, she got very sick and saw something dark around her, but then the light of Jesus touched her and she got healed. She decided to follow Jesus and wanted to learn more about the Word, so our school was perfect timing for her.
One of the most impactful moments we had was our class on the Father’s Heart – it brought everyone to tears as they encountered God’s love. Here fathers are largely absent in the families, and are abusive and/or unloving. We had many students spontaneously sharing the hurts and pains of growing up without a father; some shared also about being molested in the past, and their testimonies encouraged others who went through the same to open up and get healing.
