During the school here we have been having many salvations and healings on outreaches. One man (a witchdoctor in the community) had severe jaundice from too much alcohol and liver failure, and was just waiting to die. He was lying on a mat, unable to walk at all. Some students went to him and prayed for hours, apparently with no results. They did so again the next day, but again nothing happened. So they asked if they could take him to the hospital and, as he agreed, they literally carried him since he couldn’t walk. The hospital refused to admit him because they said he had an infectious disease and would die soon; they returned him back to his house with minimal medication and the students gave him an audio Bible. One of the students said he was so worried that, when he went to bed that night, he was double checking in his mind if he had shared the full Gospel in a simple way, because he thought the man would die that night.
When they returned the next day, they found the man up and well, and he said: “Jesus is my God!” He took his witchcraft items and household idols and threw them into the river that day. The man had a dream of Jesus the next night and was able to quote some Scriptures that Jesus had taught him in his dreams. He began praying in Jesus’ name for the sick H-ndus who came to him for witchcraft, they received healing and he shared his testimony.
Some people are not happy with his transformation, but even after only 3 days of being saved he said: “if I live, I live for Jesus; if I die, I die for Jesus”. This man is now going to a church and when taken back to the hospital, the doctors said: “whatever you are doing, keep doing because he’s getting better – we don’t know how to explain it”.
