September 2024

After almost one year, we finally were able to bring our kids back from the village (where they were for persecution reasons). We had open doors and financial provision to get a safe place in the city and to pay for the initial school fees, and are very grateful for that.
At the moment, we are supporting 11 kids. We knew we were stepping out in faith as we accepted more kids in the program than what we have provision for, but we felt that God led us to add each one of them. For example, one lady from our local team connected with a widow and later she had a dream where she felt we should help her somehow. She forgot the dream, but weeks later she had another dream with her. That lady lost her husband during the pandemic and she is the only provider for the family – she has been struggling to take care of the two kids, since she has no one else. Now the kids are able to go to school and get a tutor, and the mom doesn’t have to worry about being the only one providing for them anymore.
The kids who have healthy families are still living with their guardians, but being fully supported by us (school and any other need they may have). The others, live with our “house parents” (in the building we bought and are in the process of renovating). We are so happy, but there are also many expenses and responsibilities. If you want to be part of this, you can sponsor one (or several) of our kids in https://stopfortheone.reachapp.co/sponsorships?location=south-asia (or just reach out to us directly).
This new school year brought us also really good news: some of the kids had to move to a different school and, a few days after they started the classes, the director decided to send them to the next grade, since they were very well prepared by the tutoring we hired. They are excelling and the community around can see the difference. Please, keep praying for them!
