Crisis Response
Serving in crisis.
Making Jesus known.
Jesus is our refuge in times of trouble, and we believe His love is made tangible when we move toward people in moments of crisis.
Through Iris Global’s crisis response program, we are able to respond quickly to emergencies and disasters by working through our local ministry centers, national leaders, and missionaries already serving in affected communities. Whether families are displaced by conflict, devastated by cyclones, or facing sudden hardship, these funds allow us to meet urgent needs with compassion and practical support.
Our teams provide food, clean water, shelter, medical care, essential supplies, and resources for rebuilding and recovery. At the same time, they pray with families, share the hope of Jesus, disciple new believers, and remain present long after the immediate crisis has passed.
Our goal is not only to respond to the emergency in front of us, but to stand with communities as they heal, rebuild, and encounter the love and faithfulness of Jesus in the midst of hardship.
The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Our crisis response program allows us to respond quickly to emergency and disaster situations around the world.
We work with our local ministry centers to provide resources and relief where there is critical need.
Cyclone Chido
Northern Mozambique took a direct hit from Cyclone Chido and hundreds of thousands of people lost their homes to due the ferocious winds. All of the buildings on our farm are severely damaged, roofs were ripped off our University buildings, and many of our churches are levelled. Our biggest priority is helping the desperately poor in our community who having endured years of violence and a devastating cyclone five years ago are facing another season of rebuilding and recovery. We have our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus who is the calm in the storm and we know that this sorrow may last for the night, His joy comes in the morning.
Providing Physical and Spiritual Relief to Internally Displaced Persons
What began in 2017 as a seemingly random incident of isolated aggression in a town in northern Mozambique has deteriorated into a protracted and increasingly sophisticated campaign of terror. It has spread throughout the province of Cabo Delgado and threatens more people every day. Since that day in October 2017, hundreds of thousands have fled with little more than their lives and stories of unspeakable evil made manifest.
For our team of national and international missionaries it seems unimaginable that this could be happening to their family, friends, and neighbors. And yet, moved by compassion, they embrace the people whose faces are etched by grief and bring physical and spiritual relief with food, basic supplies, shelter, clean water, and the transformative love of Jesus.
2025 - Outreach Distribution & Development Report
In 2025, we successfully integrated sustainable solutions into our long-standing outreach programs by expanding our ecology initiatives and incorporating new technology into our operations. Additionally, we have modernized food-distribution logistics to ensure long-term viability, fortifying organizational infrastructure through standardized systems and enhanced security training. Beyond immediate relief, Iris remains deeply committed to the next generation—discipling youth through diverse sports programs, supporting small- business entrepreneurship, and offering comprehensive counseling and spiritual ministry.
We continue to testify to healings, miraculous provision, deliverances, supernatural protection, and the salvation of souls. The good news of the gospel is going forth. Solar Bibles and New Testaments are being distributed; prayer groups, discipleship communities, and churches are being established.
Jesus wins. He always does.
